Steve has always had a passion for music. His Uncle Ricco, was a professional jazz musician in San Francisco who played all the clubs from the 1940’s into the 60’s. Steve was only 10 when Ricco stopped playing, and his Uncle gave him his Gibson guitar. That gift launched Steve’s passion for collecting guitars and his desire to recreate the sound that he’d heard growing up. Steve is self taught and has been fortunate to see some of the greatest rock and blues guitar players from whom he has learned licks and some tricks that he has incorporated into his playing. The Remedies is a vehicle for delivering Steve’s passion for music.

Brenda Reed is a San Francisco-based award winning singer whose talents and accomplishments are as impressive as her musical journey. At 12 Brenda knew that singing jazz was one of her true passions. These passions lead to extensive live performing with various accomplished Jazz groups, and to the eventual release of her first Jazz CD, “Lush Life” in 2003, which is now very rare to find since going out of print. A headlining gig at San Francisco’s prestigious Plush Room soon followed. Connecting with the Blues scene in her native Sonoma County soon followed, where she sang for The Bonafide Blue, recording the hit “On the Edge of a Dream” in 2008. Brenda played numerous high profile Blues Festivals, which included opening for Elvin Bishop and Volker Strifler in Sonoma County. Brenda’s fiery voice straddles bluesy/soul & rock, and as lead singer with the Remedies, she gets and keeps everyone on the dance-floor.
